NOVA Engineering is seeking an entry‑level to mid‑level Structural Engineer to join our Forensics Engineering group in Buford, GA . The primary work mix for this position includes evaluating distressed structures, building envelope evaluation, performing materials sampling and nondestructive testing, structural analysis, modeling, designing repairs, report preparation and project management. Projects typically range in size from $10,000 to 2 million in construction costs. Responsibilities and Duties Field investigations and structural assessments of existing buildings and structures Perform and prepare structural calculations Analysis, design and documentation of building structures Prepare complete construction drawings with plans, sections and details Perform construction administration services (shop drawings, RFIs, and field visits) Management of projects from start to finish Prepare engineering reports Mentor and develop junior engineering staff Qualifications and Skills Master's Degree in Civil Engineering preferred if right out of college EIT certification required PE licensure is preferred Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required; proficiency in Revit is a plus Strong working knowledge of building codes: IBC & IRC Benefits Comprehensive group medical insurance, including health, dental and vision Opportunity for professional growth and advancement Certification reimbursement Paid time off Company‑observed paid holidays Company paid life insurance for employee, spouse and children Company paid short‑term disability coverage Other supplemental benefit offerings including long‑term disability, critical illness, accident and identity theft protection 401K retirement with company matching of 50% on the first 6% of employee contributions Wellness program with incentives Employee Assistance Program Use of take‑home company vehicle for daily travel to work sites NOVA is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
