Civil Construction Inspector This position will support Civil Engineers by working with contractors to observe, document and monitor activities to ensure compliance with specifications, plans, and other contract provisions. Projects may include earthwork, creek restorations, concrete structures, and public utilities. Responsibilities Complete daily required reports. Coordinate contractor's construction schedule to ensure proper material testing. Make recommendations to engineering staff regarding construction and constructability related issues. Observe work during progress and upon completion for conformance to plans and specifications. Inspect work quality and materials used in a variety of projects. Verify the work of contractors for accuracy, proper work methods, techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
