Job Title: Structural Stress Engineer
Location: Red Oak, TX
Onsite/ Remote: Day 1 Onsite at customer
Full Time: $74k - $105k

Position Overview

As a Structural Analysis Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the structural integrity and compliance of aircraft design and development programs. Your expertise will support the design process from initial concept through final production, contributing to technical excellence and certification adherence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sizing and support analysis activities for design changes, improvements, and new aircraft development programs.
  • Support the design process from concept through production, ensuring technical requirements are met or exceeded.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality products with comprehensive supporting documentation.
  • Prepare structural substantiation reports in compliance with program requirements and certifying authority guidelines.
  • Develop new and/or update existing certification DFEMs to support certification processes.
Qualifications and Skills

Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in aircraft structural substantiation analysis.
  • Proficient in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis methods and tools (e.g., Nasgro).
  • Strong knowledge of classical analysis methods and structural sizing methodologies.
  • Expertise in FEM-based analysis tools (e.g., MSC Patran/Nastran, Altair Hypermesh) for DFEMs and GFEMs development.
  • Understanding of loads and structures interactions.
  • Familiarity with civil aircraft certification rules and certification procedures.

Software Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Preferred experience with CATIA V5 and Enovia applications.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Proven ability to work constructively and effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to independently address complex technical challenges.
