Job Summary Lays out, fits, and welds fabricated components to assemble structural forms such as machinery frames by performing the following duties: Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings Lays out, burn, cope, positions, aligns, and fits components together Clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding Sets up equipment and welds parts using flux cored arc welding equipment. Operates grinder, saw, and other hand tools to complete assignments Assembles parts by bolting and welding Operates overhead cranes to move large steel material Qualifications One year certificate from college or technical school or related experience and training Familiarity with common welding tools and procedures, including MIG welding TIG welding, metal fabricating, grinding, and finishing metals Ability to stand, crouch, and occasionally lift heavy equipment 2 - 5 years of experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment Ability to pass a weld test Ability to read blue prints and use simple math skills Ability to read and interpret a tape measure Ability to pass a drug test Dearing's Benefits Program Includes: Medical, Vision, and Dental insurance Short and Long-Term Disability insurance Company Paid Life Insurance 9 Paid Holidays Paid Time Off 401K Retirement Plan - 4% Match Competitive Salary 100% Drug-Free Workplace Environment
