SUMMARY
Coordinate OCOM’s Office of Student Affairs programs and activities and ensure that assigned student affairs functions fulfill institutional goals and objectives.
Requirements
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participating in networking opportunities to establish external partnerships.
- Completes a communication plan that includes several touchpoints from the start of enrollment through graduation and beyond.
- Support the OCOM-approved policies and ensure that they are adhered to
- Coordinates Student Life responsibilities, including student council, organizations (including serving as liaison to faculty advisors), community efforts and events, and student communications, including but not limited to websites, social media, newsletters, and monitoring of student’s special recognitions (awards, publishing, etc.)
- Creates, sends, and responds to correspondence relating to student affairs
- Maintains the Office of Student Affairs calendars, screens calls, greets visitors, and answers questions regarding office policies, procedures, and services for visitors and enrolled students.
- Works collaboratively with Bursar student organization budgets and ledgers
- Maintains student organization paperwork
- Counsels students on leadership opportunities and activities.
- Tracks participation, reports, and prepares student materials for Student Affairs activities and presentations.
- Assists in coordinating the Office of Student Affairs communication and engagement model for OCOM alumni
- Assists in coordinating event planning, including but not limited to Orientation, White Coat, Match, and Graduation
- Assist in planning and implementing social, cultural, and recreational activities of student groups.
- Coordinate ongoing assessment and analysis of the effectiveness of student affairs services and programs, evaluate student needs and satisfaction, and overall quality of programs and services.
- Ensures confidentiality of student records in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
- Assist the Director of Student Affairs in accreditation functions, including document creation, data collection, and data entry.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Previous experience in student affairs is preferred
- A team player who values cooperation, mutual support, and team cohesion
