Job TitleAssist the staff and staff director in preparing presentation material for use in internal and external agency meetingsProficiency in PC and web applications such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite,Help write, proofread, and edit letters, documents, and moreUpdate, organize and add to NYMTC NYCTCC's contacts and email distribution listsAssist the staff and NYCTCC members identify and enter project location information into Project Tracker, and mapping multiple project locationsAssist staff director in updating and tracking project status in Microsoft ExcelResponsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.Minimum QualificationsMust have completed at least 12 credit hours of college study and be currently enrolled in an accredited program.Skills Needed:An educational background in Communications, Land Use Planning and Development, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Environmental Studies or a related field; and an interest or background in stormwater management is a plus.Excellent oral and written communications skillsProficiency in PC and web applications such as Outlook, Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), Google Earth, ArcGISExcellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain accurate recordsStrong interpersonal, written and oral communication skillsAdditional CommentsApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.*Telecommuting: Opportunities to telecommute will be discussed at interview.The New York State Department of Transportation is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
