Description The Student Worker provides supervised, temporary center support to a designated department to enhance employability and independent living skills. Essential Functions Greet staff, students, and visitors upon entry onto the center grounds. Assist with logging in staff, students, and visitors, and conduct safety checks. Assist with securing buildings and property by checking doors, windows, lights, appliances, equipment, locks, and emergency equipment. Report any issues to Security leadership. Monitor parking and traffic control; report any breach of center protocols to Security leadership. Assist with routine vehicle inspections for visitors, students, and staff in compliance with center policies. Shadow the Security team to learn additional security-related skills. Consistently model the program’s Career Success Standards. Attend required training as assigned. Adhere to and model Strategix servant leadership culture values: Honor Others, Inspire Vision, Choose Integrity, People First, Balance Focus with Flexibility, Serve with Humility, and Innovate and Disrupt. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be age 18 or over. Good reading, math, verbal, and written communication skills. Technical training and general knowledge of security and protection services; friendly demeanor; willingness to assist staff and peers; responds well to authority.
