The Student Life Student Worker provides programs and services centered on leadership, development, civic engagement, student organizations, and the co-curricular transcript. The department supports many campus-wide initiatives, including Veteran’s Day Programming, and Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention Taskforce, among others. The Student Life Student Worker is responsible to the Dean for Student Engagement. Responsibilities Prepare departmental mailings. Prepare and distribute Student Life promotional materials. Create and maintain campus bulletin boards and easels weekly. Assistwith various Student Life events as needed by answering phones, handling incoming traffic, staffingtables/events, etc. Answer phones, pick up and distribute mail, handle incoming traffic to the office. Provide department tours for current and future students. Copying, filing, sorting, and compiling various information. Verify and maintain the accuracyof data entry. Occasional evening and weekend hours required. Required to serve as a generalmember of the Campus Activities Board and occasionally fulfill theresponsibilities of an executivemember as needed. Other duties and training as assigned. Minimum Qualifications A Waubonsee studentenrolled in at least one credit. Have a minimumGPA of 2.0 or above. Be in good standingwith Student Conduct. Be making Satisfactory AcademicProgress. Must be at least 18 years old. Excellent communication and organizational skills; must be flexible. Experience with Microsoft Office. Experience with AdobeInDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. preferred.
