I. Job Summary | Major goals and objectives.
InStyle is looking for a skilled Fashion Editor to produce thoughtful, engaging, digital-first fashion content across InStyles platforms. In this role, youll primarily be responsible for pitching and writing fashion SEO service stories, features, and brand franchises, with a focus on creating content that will drive traffic and engagement. This editor will report to the Fashion Director, and work in tandem with the commerce, sales, and social teams, to identify the specific ways in which our fashion content can reach new audiences, as well as meet the needs of our existing audiences, with an eye toward inclusive and representative storytelling at all times. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of fashion industry trends and brandsboth household and emergingand SEO and e-commerce best practices; an interest in data and metrics and how to apply that knowledge to sharp content creation; and the ability to turnaround thoughtful stories promptly, contribute to original video franchises, and help conceptualize and execute fashion packages.

- Pitch, write, and produce smart, engaging, and visually appealing fashion content covering key SEO terms, retailers and partners, relevant launches, sales, and trend stories. (2 stories/day)
- Work closely with adjacent teams (primarily commerce, social, and commercial) on digital-first fashion coverage, monitoring market picks and imagery for an accessible, elevated ethos across the brands platforms.
- Incorporate emerging trends, brands, and commerce strategies into InStyles fashion coverage with a strong focus on driving revenue and traffic.

- Support the fashion team by attending market appointments and fashion shows, curating markets for original photoshoots, and occasional styling or styling assistance for in-house shoots.

- Execute fashion franchises across our platforms including awards, social, and video.

III. Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements | All must be met to be considered.
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience within the fashion industry and fashion writing.
Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the fashion industry and both luxury and affordable fashion markets.
- Extensive contacts within the fashion industry.
- Strong grasp of SEO and e-commerce best practices.
- Masterful knowledge of content management systems, as well as organizational and task management tools like Google Sheets, Airtable, Google Analytics, and SemRush
- Ability to track real-time and long-term analytics.
- Experience with market requests, sample trafficking, and on-set styling.

Pay Range
Salary: $62,400 - $80,000 The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Dotdash Merediths total compensation package for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, and short- and long-term incentives.
