Subcontractor Installer Apply
We are looking for skilled carpentry, electrical, plumbing and other trades contractors who are looking for a supplement to their work when they get slow or to fill in gaps on blank days. Our work can vary from 5 days per week or several hours per day.
The primary role of an Installer is to install our commercial vehicle upfit products into our customer’s vehicles. This position is customer facing so solid customer skills combined with exceptional ‘hands-on’ technical ability go hand in hand. The position is located at our service center in South Hackensack, NJ. The job also requires travel our customer’s locations for onsite installations and/or our Long Island location in Valley Stream NY.
Work Schedule and Hours:
- Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed.
- Start Time: 7:30am
- Finish Time: depends on schedule 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Training:
- 2 Weeks paid hourly, Monday - Friday, up to 8 hours per day.
- Training will be ongoing informally as needed after the 2 weeks is completed.
Responsibilities:
- Install all equipment on a specified Work Order into the vehicle.
- Accept full responsibility for “quality installs, on-time, every time” for every Work Order that is handed out to you.
- Use extreme care when operating company equipment
- Use extreme care while driving/installing equipment in customer’s vehicles.
- Ensure your workspace is kept neat and orderly.
- Ensure the highest levels of quality, safety and efficiency are adhered to.
Requirements
- Work with a can-do, positive attitude
- Strong time and task management skills
- Strong desire to exceed our customer’s expectations by providing a superior customer experience
- Must be physically fit and able to bend, twist and lift loads occasionally of 100lbs.
- Must be able to work well with hands
- Strong attention to detail, and a passion for quality results
- Insurance with policy's as per our program
- Fluency in English
- Must provide your own tools in accordance to our required tools
Benefits
- $50 hour. Pay is piece rate, each part has a time assigned to it.
- Travel time is paid to the jobsite for onsite jobs. 3 hours for the first job and 1 hour for any additional jobs during that day.
- Purchase Orders are paid weekly for the prior week.
