Compensation & Hiring Details:
We are hiring Substitute Teachers on a rolling basis to join our dedicated iPrep instructional team.
- Daily Rate: $125 per day
- Schedule: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM (as needed)
- Start Date: Immediate openings available
Compensation is based on a flat daily rate and is not negotiable. Substitute teachers are paid for days worked, as outlined in their contract.

As a Substitute Teacher, you will help deliver the instructional excellence that powers iPrep’s mission. You will bring learning to life through engaging lessons, strong classroom management, and an unwavering belief in every scholar’s potential. Your presence ensures that classrooms remain joyful, structured, and academically rich—reflecting our core values of Service, Optimism, Agency, Resilience, and Pride.
By maintaining learning momentum, modeling professionalism, and fostering a love of learning, you help protect every instructional minute—and ensure our scholars continue to SOAR toward independence and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and deliver lesson plans provided by classroom teachers with fidelity and enthusiasm.
- Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment aligned with iPrep’s expectations.
- Support scholars in mastering daily objectives while promoting engagement and participation.
- Uphold school-wide routines, behavior systems, and expectations for excellence.
- Communicate effectively with school leaders, teachers, and support staff regarding attendance, progress, and classroom needs.
- Demonstrate flexibility in grade-level assignments, subject areas, and daily schedules.
- Supervise scholars during transitions, lunch, and recess as assigned.
- Model iPrep’s mission and SOAR values in every interaction with scholars, families, and colleagues.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree (preferred).
- Prior experience working with children or in a classroom setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain structure, manage classroom behavior, and deliver engaging instruction.
- Professional, dependable, and adaptable to dynamic school environments.
- Must pass a background check in compliance with Alabama state law.
