Summer 2025 Marketing Internship – RIOS, Los Angeles, CA
RIOS is an international design collective. We are actively in pursuit of wonder within the design of the built environment. We believe design is an act of optimism through which invention and ideas change the world. We practice interconnected design across architecture, placemaking, and landscape architecture to define design as a continuum.
Our marketing team plays a crucial role in sharing our vision and work with the world. Through thoughtful storytelling, strategic communications, and creative content development, we showcase how our interdisciplinary design approach brings about inclusive, resilient, and original solutions that ensure diversity and resilience.
RIOS is seeking applicants in marketing and communications for summer 2025 internships. Ideal candidates are highly motivated individuals who are passionate about design storytelling, brand development, and digital communications, and would enjoy participating in our lively office culture.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing marketing content
Support content and organizing, editing, and uploading design assets and images to the RIOS website
Collaborate with designers to properly translate design assets for digital use
Support image optimization and file organization for web content
Support the creation of design layouts and project research for website publication
Help coordinate documentation of projects
Contribute to marketing campaigns
Research industry trends and competitor analysis
Support the team with day‑to‑day marketing operations and office events
How to Apply

This is a full‑time program running from June 3, 2025 through August 8, 2025. You must be available for the entire duration of the program. This is a paid internship at a rate of $23 per hour.
Requirements
Be enrolled at a community college or university Fall or Spring of 2025
Passion for creativity and proven commitment to furthering their education
A high degree of self‑motivation and curiosity, able to take initiative and go above and beyond tasks given
Strong writing skills and a passion for creative storytelling
Understanding of design principles and aesthetic sensibility
Ability to work and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi‑task
Support
Access to learning resources and materials including workstation, and all needed software training
Invitations to site visits and tours
One‑on‑one mentor meetings with professionals in their fields
A special curriculum developed to provide exposure to various phases of marketing and communications
