Job Description:

Reportingto the Executive Director, Summer Programs & Conferences, the Summer Housing Coordinator serves an important role in the smooth running ofcampus residential operations during the summer camp and conference season. Between the start of second week of June and the end of thesecond week of August, RWU welcomes nearly 1,000 elementary, middle, and high school to campus to participate in academic, extracurricular,and teambuilding programs. While most visiting students are either participants in the Johns Hopkins University \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Center for Talented Youth\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"(CTY) or Change Summer's \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Camp Uncommon\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\", RWU also provides experiential learning opportunities to several athletic camps and themed campsas well as professional conferences and adult training programs. The Summer Housing Coordinator will work in tandem with the summer programsand conferences team to provide a positive residential experience for all campus visitors.

EssentialFunctions:

  • Assist the Executive Director (ED) and Administrative Assistant, Summer Programs/Conferences andResidence Life/Housing (AASPCRLH) with training and supervising summer conference assistants.
  • Conduct pre and post-inspection ofresidence halls to assess/document damage for client penalties and work with facilities to schedule repairs.
  • Assist AASPCRLH withthe requisition of brass room keys and coding of key cards.
  • Work with AASPCRLH to coordinate residence hall custodialservices.
  • Collaborate with AASPCRLH and ED to schedule camp/conference linen delivery and collection.
  • Participate in eveningon-call schedule and assist with campus lockout requests.

Additional Functions:

  • Assist withcamp/conference housing check-in as needed.

Number of Open Positions: 2
Period of Employment: May 13, 2024 -August 16, 2024
This is a part-time (25 hours) temporary position.

*****Free summer housing and access tocampus recreation facilities. Complementary meal at the Upper Commons during scheduled shift. Flexible evening and weekendschedule.*****

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated familiarity with RWU keyprogramming software.
  • Demonstrated with RWU standard housing protocols.
  • Ability to live on campus between May 13, 2024,andAugust 16, 2024.
  • Ability to work evenings/weekends according to on-call schedule.
