Summer Laborers - Public Works Apply
Full job description
The City of Crest Hill has several openings for temporary summer laborers that would work no more than 40 hours per week in the Public Works Department. The pay is $16/hour.
The work requires the ability to perform manual labor that may include assisting with pothole patching, cleaning and repairing catch basins, cutting weeds, grass and bushes, picking up litter and debris, painting and scraping equipment and other general maintenance responsibilities. The work may be outdoors or indoors depending on the task to be performed. May be required to operate numerous hand power tools.
To be considered for this position you must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license and be able to pass a background check, physical and drug/alcohol test. The incumbent in this position should possess a reasonable understanding of the English language to receive direction and communicate with the supervisor and others in the performance of these duties. The work period will consist of starting no later than June 1, 2024 and concluding no later than August 15, 2024. Depending on individual circumstances the time frame can vary regarding the start and finish date.
