Job Description

Eenhoorn is seeking Summer/Seasonal Team Members to join our team for a unique crawlspace project this Summer.

This project is based at our residential apartment community, Limewood Apartments, located in Battle Creek, MI.

The scope of the project involves repairing and improving crawlspaces in the buildings by addressing insulation issues, waterproofing, and resolving root causes of damage such as water intrusion, broken vents, and rodent activity. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction while making a tangible impact on residential homes.

Your Responsibilities
Successful candidates will work as part of a three-person crew to perform tasks such as:

  • Removing and disposing of old insulation and debris.
  • Installing new insulation, plastic sheeting, and Tyvek house wrap.
  • Using tools like nail guns, staple guns, and utility knives to secure materials.
  • Sealing foundation cracks with quick-setting cement.
  • Replacing dryer vents and redirecting downspouts to prevent water intrusion.

Qualifications

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, crawling, and standing for extended periods
  • Willingness to work in confined spaces.
  • Familiarity with basic tools (e.g., staple guns, drills) is preferred but not required.
  • Prior experience in construction or crawlspace repairs (e.g., insulation installation, waterproofing, structural repairs) is preferred

What You Need to Know
This job requires working in tight spaces (crawlspaces), so applicants must be comfortable with confined areas, getting dirty, and handling physical labor. You will use various tools and equipment to complete the work safely and efficiently.

Schedule
This is a seasonal/summer position, working Monday-Friday, during the hours of 8:30am-5:00pm, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch (40 hours/week). This is an ideal opportunity for those seeking summer work and looking for hands-on experience in construction or maintenance projects. Competitive hourly pay will be offered based on experience.

If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to an impactful project, we encourage you to apply!

We want you to bring your authentic self to work every single day. We accept you for who you are and consider everyone on an equal opportunity basis without regard to age; appearance; color; gender identity and/or expression; family or parental status; marital, civil union, or domestic partnership status; disability; national, social or ethnic origin; past or present military service; sexual orientation; socioeconomic status; race; religion or belief.

Eenhoorn, LLC is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
