JOB DESCRIPTION: Professional Day and Orientation: July 1&2, 2024 Program Dates : July 8, 2024 - August 2, 2024 Location : Yorktown High School Mode l: IN-PERSON RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide instruction for students in identified curriculum and differentiate content based on individual students' needs. Participate in planning and professional learning before summer school. Collaborate with staff regarding implementation of instruction, use of assessments and assessment results, and development of differentiated curriculum. Ability to work effectively as a team member with colleagues. Flexible, dependable, and highly organized. Desire to work with a diverse community of learners. Excellent interpersonal skills. Familiarity with APS (Arlington Public Schools) English Learner program models and assessment procedures for ELs. EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of best instructional practices for ELs (English Learners) Ability to integrate technology Teaching secondary English Learners ELs Personalized learning strategies Teaching English Language Arts to ELs QUALIFICATIONS: ESL endorsement: English endorsement preferred. Available to participate in after-school professional learning activities. Retired APS teachers will be paid $47.73 per hour per APS pay plan. Non-APS licensed summer school teachers will be paid $35.52 per hour. If you resign effective the last day of the school year, you will receive a flat rate of $35.52 per hour for teachers. Pay Plan 23/24 (Page 50) DAYS:
