JOB DESCRIPTION: Professional Day and Orientation: July 1&2, 2024 Program Dates : July 8, 2024 - August 2, 2024 Location : Yorktown High School Mode l: IN-PERSON RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide instruction for students in the identified HPE curriculum o In-person instruction the first two weeks 07/08 - 07/19 o Virtual instruction all 4-weeks

- Experience working with students from diverse backgrounds

- Experience teaching secondary HPE courses

SALARY: Summer School Teachers who are APS employees during the year will be paid the Non-VRS equivalent rate - hourly rate or $35.52 per hour., whichever is higher. (Please note Salary earned relative to summer school employment will not be included in the employees creditable compensation amount reported to the Virginia Retirement System (VRS).) Retired APS teachers will be paid $47.73 per hour per APS pay plan. Non-APS licensed summer school teachers will be paid $35.52 per hour.
