Overview Department: Technology Department Reports To: Director of Technology / Technology Staff Employment Type: Temporary – Summer Position Primary Purpose The Summer Technology Helper will assist the Splendora ISD Technology Department with a variety of technology projects to prepare devices and classrooms for the upcoming school year. This entry-level position focuses on Chromebook setup, basic repairs, inventory tasks, and general technical support. No prior technology experience is required — training will be provided. Responsibilities and Duties Assist with Chromebook cleaning, setup, imaging, and basic repairs Help organize, label, and inventory technology equipment Prepare devices for student and staff use Assist with technology deployments and summer campus projects Help move and organize technology equipment and charging carts Follow district procedures for device handling and data privacy Maintain a clean and organized work environment Perform other technology-related tasks as assigned Qualifications No prior technical experience required Willingness to learn basic technology skills Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and professional Positive attitude and strong work ethic Preferred: (Not Required) Interest in technology or computers Basic familiarity with Chromebooks or school devices Experience working in a school environment Working Conditions Work is performed in offices, classrooms, and storage areas May require standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment Ability to lift and carry up to 25–40 pounds preferred Schedule Summer temporary position (dates determined by Splendora ISD) #J-18808-Ljbffr
