The Social Work Supervisor will provide both clinical and administrative leadership for community-based mental health programs serving children and families. This role is responsible for overseeing service delivery, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring high-quality, ethical, and effective care aligned with program standards and community needs.
The Supervisor will work closely with children, foster families, biological families, and multidisciplinary teams while ensuring program compliance, staff development, and positive client outcomes.
Key Responsibilities-
Provide clinical supervision and guidance to assigned staff

Review, organize, and maintain treatment records and clinical documentation

Develop therapeutic relationships with children, foster families, and biological families

Assess and coordinate routine and emergency mental health services

Make clinical decisions regarding treatment needs, placements, and transitions

Provide or coordinate crisis assessments and interventions when required
-
Support after-hours crisis response as needed

Supervise staff and oversee day-to-day program operations

Monitor program outcomes, fidelity, and effectiveness

Prepare required reports for internal use and funding sources

Perform additional duties as assigned

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Professional Counseling

Active Michigan licensure as LMSW, LLP, or LPC
-
Minimum of three years providing mental health services to children or adolescents

At least one year of supervisory experience

Strong clinical skills including knowledge of DSM criteria

Ability to assess and intervene in complex family and community systems

Calm and effective decision-making during crisis situations

Culturally competent and nonjudgmental clinical approach

Valid driver's license with a favorable driving record

Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
