Duties Direct and coordinate day‑to‑day operations of a primary care clinic, ensuring efficient workflow, staffing coverage, and continuity of patient care. Serve as a senior clinical leader and advisor to executive leadership on healthcare delivery, program priorities, and service improvements. Lead quality assurance and performance improvement efforts, including monitoring clinical outcomes, addressing gaps in care, and ensuring compliance with standards. Build and maintain partnerships with internal departments, tribal programs, and external organizations to expand and enhance healthcare services. Guide program planning and resource allocation to support clinic goals, respond to community health needs, and improve overall service delivery. Basic Requirements Education : A graduate or higher level degree, bachelor’s, associate’s, or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program. Accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education, or another U.S. Department of Education‑recognized accrediting body. Foreign nursing school graduates must provide official certification from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools. For Advanced Practice Nurse positions, a graduate or higher level degree in nursing from an accredited program in the specialty indicated by the position is required. For Advanced Practice Nurse positions, licensure or registration by a state, DC, Puerto Rico, or U.S. territory in the required clinical specialty is required. At least one year of professional nursing experience equivalent to the GS‑12 grade level is required. Experience Professional nursing experience must include comprehensive primary care services across the lifespan: assessing, diagnosing, treating acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, coordinating patient care; managing or overseeing clinical operations, planning work, assigning tasks, evaluating staff performance, ensuring quality patient care; developing and implementing policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives; collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and leadership to improve healthcare services, monitor program outcomes, and address community health needs.
