SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST Apply
Job TitleYou will be responsible for the intensive integrated management, material coordination and maintenance of levels of stock in support of the OHIO Class submarine. You will responsible for the review and validation of management of items on a "pull" basis whereby stock replenishments for both locally managed and centrally managed items are initiated within the Inventory. You will supervise and apply knowledge of personnel procedures, policies and the organization's EEO/Affirmative Action Plan. You will utilize an automated supply system, such as the Uniform Automated Data Processing System (UADPS-U2), to generate reports and statistical data, and perform other inventory management control functions. You will communicate effectively both orally and in writing.Conditions Of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen. Must be determined suitable for federal employment. This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.QualificationsGS-11 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Experience in managing intensive integrated logistics, material coordination, and stock maintenance for Ohio-class submarines, the Intermediate Maintenance Activity (IMA), and SUBASE Kings Bay tenant commands.Experience reviewing and validating the "pull-based" management of items, ensuring stock replenishments for both local and central inventory are initiated efficiently.Experience monitoring material support performance, analyzing demand statistics, and developing innovative programs to enhance supply chain techniques.Experience analyzing supply responsiveness and demand trends to initiate timely remedial actions and resolve logistical bottlenecks.Experience studying complex management reports and statistical data within the UADPS-U2 and Navy ERP systems to optimize stock point operations.EducationIn lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience: Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR Possession of an LL.M., if related OR A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
