The selectee of this position serves as a Supervisory IT Program Manager responsible for developing and maintaining a Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) with appropriate processes, procedures, and tailoring guidance. Assesses health and status of ongoing projects against cost, schedule, and performance baselines. Provides authoritative direction and guidance to subordinate Program and Project Managers.

As a Supervisory IT Program Manager at the GS-2210-15 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:

Translating new requirements into planned program product improvements to update and improve system capabilities.
Directing the development, acquisition, and logistical support activities necessary to meet IT project objectives.
Direct the analysis of alternative IT solutions and development of business cases to support program area requirements.
Establishing schedules and plans which accomplish mission requirements and are within budgetary constraints,
Exercising program control and authority through the various project phases, determining where adjustments or different courses of actions are necessary in projects and directing changes to meet objectives.

This position is open to Competitive Merit Promotion, Non-Competitive and Special Hiring Authority eligibles. You must meet the requirements for one of the following eligibilities:

Current permanent competitive service employees; former Federal employees who achieved career status in the competitive service; or former Federal employees who served on a career conditional appointment without achieving career status in the competitive service who was separated less than 3 years ago, must submit an SF50 that indicates career or career-conditional (Tenure field 1 or 2); AND status in the competitive service (Position Occupied field 1.)
Veterans applying under the Veterans Employment Opportunity Act (VEOA) must submit a copy of their latest DD214 indicating service performed under honorable conditions. To be eligible for a VEOA appointment, a veteran must be preference eligible OR have substantially completed 3 or more years of continuous active service. Military Spouses are eligible if they are the spouse of: an active duty member of the armed forces; a service member who is 100% disabled due to a service-connected injury; or a service member killed while on active duty, provided they have not remarried. Military Spouses must submit an SF15 and supporting documents prescribed by the form.
