A leading automotive parts manufacturer is seeking a dedicated and experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team in Texas. This position plays a critical role in strengthening supplier performance, supporting new program launches, and ensuring consistent quality across our supply chain—particularly for molding and electronic components sourced from both in-house Mexican facilities and external suppliers.Key Responsibilities:Manage supplier part quality for the Texas distribution center and Mexico plant, ensuring compliance and rapid response to part-related claims.Support supplier selection and development processes, especially for electronic and molding components.Lead APQP, PPAP, and supplier audits, ensuring quality standards are met from early development through production.Collaborate closely with internal QA teams, engineering, procurement, and supplier partners.Monitor supplier performance metrics and drive continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities.Provide on-site supplier support in Reynosa, Mexico (minimum 3 visits per week, secure transportation provided).QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Focus in Mechanical or Electronics Engineering preferred.Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive supplier quality engineering.Strong understanding of quality systems, PPAP, APQP, and supplier audit practices.Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.Experience with OEM processes is highly desirable.Language proficiency in Spanish or Japanese is a plus.Willingness and ability to travel regularly to Reynosa, Mexico (minimum three times per week; secured company transport provided).
