About the Role
The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that suppliers meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role works closely with suppliers, engineering, procurement, and operations teams to drive continuous improvement, manage supplier performance, and support new product introductions.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain supplier quality management processes.
- Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and qualifications.
- Monitor supplier performance through KPIs and implement corrective/preventive actions.
- Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive root cause analysis.
- Review and approve supplier documentation (PPAP, FAI, Control Plans, etc.).
- Support risk management and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other applicable standards.
- Partner with internal teams to support new product launches and process validations.
- Provide technical support in material inspections and supplier-related nonconformances.
- Ability to analyze data to understand trends and drive improvement initiatives in partnership with suppliers.
Additional Expectations
- Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
- Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
- Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
- Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, and problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis, A3).
- Experience in supplier audits and supplier development.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel to supplier locations as needed.
- Preferred knowledge in Aluminum extrusions, milling, cutting, metal fabrication, welding processes, powder coat, ceiling materials, and strut arms.
