Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Support Engineer 4 to join our team in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will focus on ensuring operational efficiency by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to material handling systems, electrical automation, and controls. This is a long-term contract position that requires strong technical expertise and the ability to manage complex, multidisciplinary challenges while collaborating with various teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues in conveyor control systems and automation platforms, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Review system schematics and specifications to identify and resolve complex malfunctions using specialized software and testing tools.
• Coordinate with subject matter experts, vendors, and cross-functional teams to address and resolve multi-disciplinary problems.
• Ensure material handling systems remain operational to maximize efficiency and meet customer service expectations.
• Manage vendor relationships and oversee adherence to contractual commitments while leading project initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with field teams, business units, and all levels of management to ensure smooth operation and timely resolution of technical issues.
• Utilize advanced knowledge of integrated IT systems and ownership groups to support troubleshooting and system optimization.
• Implement solutions to improve equipment availability and operational processes, enhancing overall productivity.
• Apply project management skills to oversee technical projects and ensure successful completion.
• Maintain adaptability in a dynamic environment, balancing responsibilities across multiple disciplines.• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering, or equivalent technical field; alternatively, 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in electrical automation, controls troubleshooting, and conveyor systems.
• Expertise in ladder logic programming for PLCs and diagnosing complex system malfunctions.
• Strong knowledge of material handling systems, production machinery, and industrial processes.
• Proven ability to manage vendors and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with stakeholders, field teams, and management.
• Advanced understanding of integrated IT systems and cross-functional support teams.
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance management or similar leadership roles is preferred.
