CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 Long-Term Care facilities and 1 residential care facility. About the Department: Materials Managementeffectively and efficiently manages the acquisition, warehousing, distribution, transportation, and processing of the equipment and supplies required for the smooth operation of the hospital. A typical day will include: Providing assistance in all areas of managing the materials required for the operations of the organization. Filling requisition orders from STORES items and delivering orders to department or arranging for courier transport. Maintaining and monitoring the inventory control system, utilizing the computer inventory program and visual / manual checks to assure the efficient use of inventory supplies. Actively pursuing reduction of inventory expirations by proposing ideas to increase turns and stock rotation. Job Requirements: Education: High School diploma or equivalent Licensure & Certifications: N/A Experience: Preferred background in medical supplies and/or general warehousing and distribution Physical:Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
