Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in Operating Room Technology to provide comprehensive peri-operative nursing care. This contract position is based in Belton, MO, and involves working closely with surgical and anesthesiology teams to coordinate patient care for a diverse patient population including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and older adults.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct and indirect patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Coordinate peri-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
• Supervise and guide OR Technicians and other personnel while upholding nursing standards.
• Collaborate with various departments to ensure quality patient care and efficient unit flow.
• Maintain unit organization and adhere to hospital policies, standards, and regulations.
• Participate in Performance Improvement initiatives, unit meetings, and in-services.
• Serve as a resource for staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current RN licensure.
• Experience in the peri-operative setting with various age groups.
• Ability to coordinate interdisciplinary care and manage OR team activities.
• Knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Schedule:

• On-call shifts Monday through Friday from 3:30 PM to 7:00 AM as scheduled.
• Weekend on-call coverage from 7:00 AM Saturday to 7:00 AM Sunday as scheduled.
