A Surgical Technologist Certified is needed to provide skilled support to the surgical team in a fast-paced operating room environment. This contract opportunity is located in Grovetown, GA, offering 10-hour day shifts from 10:45 AM to 9:15 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves assisting the healthcare team under the supervision of a registered nurse and requires proficiency in handling moderate to high acuity surgical cases while maintaining a sterile environment and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operative suite and sterile field, ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready and sterile.
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons during procedures and provide necessary instruments and support.
• Assist with surgical room setup, instrument sterilization, and inventory management.
• Maintain compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Mentor and train new staff and students, contributing to ongoing performance improvement efforts.
• Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to provide culturally aware, patient-centered care.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required.
• National certification through the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or National Center for Competency Testing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
