***Will work predominantly at the Consolidated Service Center (CSC) at 7777 Palmetto Commerce Pkwy, North Charleston, SC 29420, not at MUSC Health Orangeburg campus. Housing considerations should take this into account.*** About the Position Position: Sterile Processing Tech Shift: 5x8s, 3p-11:30p Weekend REQ: Rotating Weekends Call REQ: All Techs will have call at least once every two months. Call Starts 7:00 am Saturday morning until Monday 7:00 am . Will clinician float to meet facility needs? (Y/N): Yes, to CSC Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 2 years First-timers accepted: No Trauma Experience Level Req: Level 1 Experience required:- Sterilization, Decontaminate and assembly/wrap SPT experience, Scope Reprocessing Types of cases (experience) preferred: Neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, Transplant, GYN National Certs REQ: CBSPD and/or HSPA BLS REQ: not required Miscellaneous Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes, on a case-by-case basis at 10% less than the posted rate RTO Restrictions: ALL RTO must be provided at time of submission. No RTO will be approved after contract is signed. Approval based on dept needs Guaranteed hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Off-Site Reprocessing Center Total Staffed Beds: N/A Scrubs: Provided Parking Cost: None Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season, all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem, please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
