This is in addition to our generous time-off benefitsOverviewPOSITION SUMMARY: The Surgical Tech role provides basic care for patients across the life span. Performs duties of scrub person throughout the intra-operative phase of care. Recognizes significant conditions and reactions and notifies the appropriate patient care team.QualificationsREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Surgical Tech I: Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program with the ability to sit for certification OR 2 years minimum working in a Surgical Tech role.Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Surgical Technologist/Technician role if completion of a Surgical tech program has not been completed.Licensure/Certification: American Heart Association CPR (BLS)Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Requires intra-operative orientation to learn department/unit policies, procedures and work routines; to develop competency in the use of medical equipment and instruments used in the procedure/operating room; to learn quality/safety standards; and to gain an understanding of the various types of surgical procedures within their service line.Surgical Tech II:Education: High School Diploma or GED; requires completion of a Surgical Tech program and Surgical Technologist Certification with a minimum of 3 years working in a Surgical Tech role OR minimum 5 years working in a Surgical Tech role.Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Surgical Technologist role if certified.
