Sign-on bonus available up to $15,000 and Relocation up to $7,500!

 

Location: Coastal Carolina Medical Center - 1000 Medical Center Dr, Hardeeville, SC 29927

Schedule: 3x12 or 4x10 schedule, 6:30 am-7:00 pm, Call 4x a month and weekend rotation

Status: Full Time

  • Coastal Carolina Medical Center is the first hospital in South Carolina to achieve Center of Excellence in Robotic Surgery
  • We use the da Vinci Surgical System, which allows for minimally invasive procedures through small incisions
  • Recognized by the American Heart Association with a Gold Plus – Stroke award for its stroke care. 

 

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an accredited educational program for surgical technologists
  • Must meet one of the following pathways:

        ○ Hold and maintain the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the NBSTSA

        ○ Completed surgical technology training through the U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. Public Health Service

        ○ Practiced as a surgical technologist in South Carolina prior to January 1, 2008

        ○ Serving as a surgical technologist in the federal government

  • Current BLS certification required
  • NBSTSA certification required
  • Previous hospital experience preferred

 

 

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities

The Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Certified surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.

  • Standard of care of patients while following OSHA guidelines
