What We Offer: Sign-on bonus available up to $15,000 and Relocation up to $7,500! Location: Coastal Carolina Medical Center - 1000 Medical Center Dr, Hardeeville, SC 29927Schedule: 3x12 or 4x10 schedule, 6:30 am-7:00 pm, Call 4x a month and weekend rotationStatus: Full TimeCoastal Carolina Medical Center is the first hospital in South Carolina to achieve Center of Excellence in Robotic SurgeryWe use the da Vinci Surgical System, which allows for minimally invasive procedures through small incisionsRecognized by the American Heart Association with a Gold Plus – Stroke award for its stroke care.   What We're Looking For: QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentSuccessful completion of an accredited educational program for surgical technologistsMust meet one of the following pathways:        Hold and maintain the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through the NBSTSA        Completed surgical technology training through the U.S. Armed Forces or U.S. Public Health Service        Practiced as a surgical technologist in South Carolina prior to January 1, 2008        Serving as a surgical technologist in the federal governmentCurrent BLS certification requiredNBSTSA certification requiredPrevious hospital experience preferred   What You'll Do: ResponsibilitiesThe Certified Surgical Technologist works under the supervision of a surgeon and registered nurse to facilitate the safe and effective conduct of invasive surgical procedures, ensuring that the operating room environment is safe, that equipment functions properly, and that the operative procedure is conducted under conditions that maximize patient safety. Certified surgical technologists possess expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic techniques and combine the knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.Variety of surgical procedures and endoscopyHigh volumeStandard of care of patients while following OSHA guidelines
