Survey Technician

Employment Type: Full-time | Onsite

We are seeking a skilled Survey Technician to join our client's civil design and land development team. In this role, you ll process field data, create accurate survey deliverables, and support engineers and project managers throughout all phases of development. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of boundary, topographic, and construction projects while collaborating with experienced professionals in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Draft and prepare survey maps, as-built drawings, and lot grading plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

  • Process field survey data for boundary, topographic, and construction layout projects.

  • Research property records, plats, and deeds to ensure compliance with design standards.

  • Create cut sheets, surface models, and project exhibits for engineering and field use.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to field crews and junior staff.

  • Maintain organized records of survey data and project documentation.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in surveying or civil technology preferred).

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in survey drafting, processing, or coordination in a land development or civil engineering environment.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D required; experience with data collection systems and GPS instruments is a plus.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities.
