Vernon, IL Position Opening Date: 3/12/2025 Position Closing Date: 12/31/2100 12:00:00 AM Benefits: Health Insurance, 401(k), Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment, Long Term Disability, FSA, Supplemental Life (voluntary), Dental (voluntary), Vision (voluntary), AFLAC (voluntary) Total Hours Per Week: 40 No Of Positions: 1 Position Summary The primary purpose of this position is to adhere to established company surveying policies, follow all survey service line procedures and assure that the crew follows standard procedures. Primary Position Duties Perform field survey activities in accordance with standards set by state statutes and the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping Assure crew adheres to procedures in the safety manual and uses all personal safety equipment provided Plan daily activities considering possible multiple projects to meet productivity goals set by Project Managers Supervise crew vehicle and equipment inventory, loading and maintenance Supervise the crew’s use equipment, preparation of sketches and notes, and electronic data collection Communicate with the entire crew and office staff about all aspects of the project. Work without direct day-to-day supervision and make technical decisions for project assigned within specified limits of authority Supervise daily data collection downloading Participates in project team meetings and follows procedures outlined in Project Management Standards manual Position Requirements Fluent English with reading, written and verbal communication skills, Ability to work in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and other video conferencing software. Ability to use Trimble Surveying Equipment and software or similar equipment/software. Ability to collect and analyze data, apply problem solving skills. Must be able to work independently or as part of a project team and demonstrate attention to detail. Effective communication skills are essential for this position.
