Switchboard OperatorWinona Health Services Switchboard Operator 0.8 FTE- 64 Hours per pay period Shifts: Primary 2p-10p, with additional 10p-6a Weekends: Every third: 6 pm- 6 am Holidays: Rotation 6 pm- 6 amPosition Overview:The Switchboard serves as the communications hub for many of the organization's incoming phone calls, vendors, and hospital visitors. The Switchboard operator ensures timely and accurate handling of questions and transferring of calls to support the efforts of Winona Health's Emergency Department. The Switchboard staff also operates paging, security, and alarm systems. Operators process incoming phone calls for Winona Health in a timely, accurate, and courteous manner. They also page doctors and staff according to policy guidelines.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Supports organizational safety and security by dispatching code and alert response teams, monitoring security cameras and alarm systems, and controlling access to the building after hours including issuing keys as needed.Serves as North Entrance receptionist as needed, greeting and answering visitor questions and issuing passes.Acts as cashier when the Gift Shop is closed.Maintains familiarity with Winona Health current events, activities, staffing changes, and other news to assist in performing job duties.Supervisory Responsibilities: NoneSkills and Experience:Required:High School/GED or equivalentExperience with managing a PBX or multi-phone-line system.Preferred:Microsoft Office Software computer skillsCustomer service experience and interpersonal, verbal, and phone communication skills.Summary of Benefits at Winona Health:At Winona Health, we are dedicated to offering a comprehensive and affordable benefits package for our employees and their families.
