Description

This position is focused on the creation, maintenance and optimization of cloud based services used by our company and its portfolio companies. This position also works closely with the end-user support team to resolve more advanced user requests and provide technical guidance to the support team.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and manage environments in AWS
• Primary LInux Administrator / Ubuntu Administrator
• Deploy and manage cloud services to support development and testing efforts across multiple companies.

• Deploy and manage cloud storage in AWS, Azure and other cloud storage services
• Manage SaaS solutions such as Office 365, Zendesk, Zoom, Puppet, Nagios,
• Manage and support Linux systems used for development, AI and ML.
• Manage off-hours patching and maintenance on servers and data science systems.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours requests.
• Assist in installation of servers, networking, and storage systems.

Education & Work Experience

• Computer Science or related degree and 3-5 years administration experience, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with On-Premises Windows AD, DHCP and File and Print servers.
• Experience with Ubuntu
• Experience with cloud IaaS platforms such as AWS and Azure
• Experience with IAM, SAML, SSO and related identity solutions
• Recent Experience Administrating Office 365. Experience with Entra / Azure federation and managing multiple tenancies is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, personal initiative, and enthusiasm to help end users.
• Experience with Windows Operating Systems (10/2016/2019) and Active Directory.
• Recent experience with Okta and Okta Lifecycle Management is a plus.
• Experience with virtualization systems such as VMware or Hyper-V and deploying virtual machines, with a strong preference to recent VMware experience.
• Experience deploying and maintaining backup systems, with a preference for recent Veeam experience.
• Ability to configure Firewalls, Switches, Access Points. SonicWALL firewall and Juniper switch experience is a plus.
• Recent experience with end-point security and management solutions.
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds on a routine basis.
