Title System Administrator Position Summary The Camdenton School District is seeking a System Administrator to join our technology department. This role is responsible for the installation, security, and maintenance of network resources and complex, district-wide systems. The successful candidate will ensure a reliable and secure technical environment, empowering staff and students to uphold our culture of "Everyone Learning Every Day." Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field. Experience in directory services, server administration, network protocols, data security, or programming in a similar hardware and software environment. Preferred Qualification Minimum five years' experience or equivalent in education. Reports To Director of Technology General Requirements Board Policy for Staff Conduct Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities Configure, install, and maintain critical systems and applications software necessary to support core district services including, but not limited to: Administrative and instructional servers LAN/WAN switching and routing equipment Wireless infrastructure components VoIP equipment Directory services Client/server applications E-mail services Web services Database back-end services Content filtering Enterprise wireless broadband and dark fiber infrastructure IoT Cybersecurity Collaborate with stakeholders to administer and integrate technology solutions for new or existing applications and to provide consultation and support of district-wide information processing needs. Provide high-level technical troubleshooting and problem resolution for hardware, software, and core systems. Maintain regular backups of servers, network infrastructure, and systems. Perform hardware and software maintenance for enterprise systems as emergencies arise. Review systems load statistics and status reports, and tune systems for maximum operating efficiency. Maintain documentation of systems, networks, and operational information. Evaluate and make suggestions concerning system and network standards which would facilitate improved operations. Provide status reports to supervisor and management. Participate in the department's collaborative teamwork concept. Meets departmental and organizational deadlines. Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director of Technology and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent. Terms Of Employment 252 days; 8.0 hrs / day. Does not include a 30 minute lunch. Appropriate Level 2 range - commensurate with degree and or experience beginning at 57,500. Benefits include Board paid health insurance, paid sick leave, retirement and other. Evaluations Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Support Staff. #J-18808-Ljbffr
