We are seeking a System Administrator (Tier 1/2 Support) with strong Linux expertise and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. In this frontline role, you will be responsible for monitoring systems, assisting end users, and escalating issues as needed.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working directly with customers to provide clear, professional, and helpful support.

As a System Administrator, you will:
  • Work with Linux systems through the command line.
  • Perform scripting tasks.
  • Manage environments running on AWS and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor system dashboards to ensure the health and performance of mission-critical services.
  • Proactively identify issues and escalate them to Tier 2 support when necessary.

This role also includes managing an equipment inventory, documenting processes, and creating FAQs and guides to assist end users. You must have a solid foundation in IT protocols and system architecture and hold a Security+ certification. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will interact with end users to diagnose issues, provide solutions, and escalate when appropriate.

This position is well-suited for a self-starter who thrives in a structured yet dynamic environment, is highly organized, and motivated to contribute to both system stability and end-user success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the first line of support for end-user issues, providing articulate and professional assistance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 1 issues involving Linux systems, scripting, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Monitor dashboards to ensure system health, escalating potential issues to Tier 2 support when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Document solutions, create end-user FAQs, and contribute to the knowledge base.
  • Ensure security compliance with Security+ principles and IT security best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes, streamline workflows, and enhance end-user satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency with Linux administration, including command line usage and scripting.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services and containerized environments (Kubernetes).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities with a focus on Tier 1 support.
  • Familiarity with IT protocols, system architecture, and IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer-facing interactions.
