Job Description A leading aerospace and avionics engineering organization is hiring a full-time System Architect to support next-generation Traffic Surveillance & Avoidance Systems in Melbourne, FL. This is an opportunity to take ownership of complex, large-scale avionics systems that directly impact the future of airspace safety and traffic management. Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor's degree in STEM field • 15+ years of experience in avionics, aerospace, or aviation systems engineering • Experience supporting FAA-regulated systems or NAS environments • Experience with commercial avionics platforms and RLRU-based systems • Hands-on experience with Primary Surveillance RADAR (PSR) and MSSR systems • Strong background in system architecture and requirements development • Experience with system integration, verification, and validation • Experience developing technical documentation and stakeholder briefings • Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills • Ability to work with executive leadership, customers, and regulators Desired Skills & Experience • Experience with MBSE and Cameo • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies • Knowledge of GNSS and navigation systems • Experience with Multi-Mode Receiver (MMR) systems • Understanding of DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160, ARP4754, and TSO standards • Familiarity with IFF and AIMS certification/testing • Experience with space-based systems or satellite navigation technologies What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • 40% System Architecture & Requirements Development • 30% Integration, Verification & Validation • 20% Radar / Surveillance Systems Engineering • 10% Modeling, Simulation & Data Analysis Daily Responsibilities • 50% Hands On Engineering • 20% Technical Leadership & Mentorship • 30% Cross-Functional Collaboration The Offer • Bonus eligible You will receive the following benefits: • Medical Insurance • Dental Benefits • Vision Benefits • Paid Time Off (PTO) • 401(k) with company match Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future.
