REQUIREMENT
Position Overview:
The System/Business Analyst will play a key role in understanding and documenting user needs to ensure the development of an appropriate system. The candidate will work closely with users to identify issues in the current system and opportunities for reengineering to meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
- Requirement Analysis: Assess integration needs, such as data formats, exchange frequency, and system dependencies.
- Solution Design: Create integration architecture that supports systems like PeopleSoft, MTA Origami, and third-party administrator tools.
- System Configuration: Configure middleware or tools for seamless data transfer.
- Data Mapping: Define and implement data transformation rules.
- API Development: Develop or leverage existing APIs for real-time data exchange.
- Testing: Ensure integration accuracy and performance.
- Deployment & Support: Provide go-live support and minimize disruptions.
- Monitoring & Maintenance: Implement tools to track performance and detect anomalies.
- Documentation: Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
- Project Management Support: Assist with project management activities for Legal, Safety, and Risk IT tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5-10+ years of experience as a Systems/Business Analyst.
- Solid experience in user problem identification, solution development, cost/benefit analysis, and working with development teams.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven problem-solving and negotiation skills.
- Experience preparing and managing project plans.
