JOB SUMMARY: LogistiQ is seeking an experienced, reliable, and motivated System Support Specialist to join our IT team. This person will provide support to computer users on their hardware and software needs and purchases, resolve PC & laptop problems, and install new equipment or software, ensuring that users can effectively and efficiently utilize their computers. Install and assist users with Office 365. This position is primarily onsite in Port Clinton with the possibility of coverage onsite in our Sandusky location as needed. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Maintains contact with internal personnel (users and other Administration Group staff) to assist with all hardware and software needs, maintenance and issues at all sites and remote field users. Maintains presence as an internal consultant to other facility in Sandusky by providing necessary information, thereby allowing them to efficiently use and maintain their systems, in support of company objectives. Maintain and monitor the Back-up Systems and Cyber Security training campaigns. Assist in the administration and documenting of all IT processes, including but not limited to, SyteLine and user accounts, etc. Responsible for Help Desk Service Requests, including but not limited to, responding, documenting, and maintaining in a timely fashion. Must possess excellent communication (oral & written) as well as people skills. Able to work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven, high-pressure environment with a high-level of customer focus. Work proactively to improve existing processes and tools. Must be able to prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously, proactively, and follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures and input from various participants. Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities None Travel Demands May require occasional travel. Qualifications & Requirements Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the General Public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite Products including Outlook, Office, Word, Excel, and Power Point. Basic knowledge of hardware and peripheral components. Successful completion of 90-day probationary period Education & Experience Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or related field is preferred; plus 1 to 3 years of IT experience (hardware and software troubleshooting, problems resolution, and testing). Microsoft Training such as a Microsoft Certification in one of the following (MCDST, MCITP, MCSE) would be considered a plus. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment is pleasant, temperature controlled, professional office environment in a manufacturing setting. The employee works in an office setting but does have frequent interaction with the shop floor. On the shop floor, the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is mixed and the air temperature fluctuates with the seasonal weather.
