Job Description: 

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated On-Site Systems Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting both physical and virtual environments and will have a strong understanding of networking, Linux servers of various flavors, Microsoft 365, and Intune. This role requires the candidate to maintain a “Security First” mindset.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage and support physical and virtual environments using ESXi, ProxMox, and KVM. 
  • Support and maintain Linux-based servers, including Debian, Fedora, Arch, and other distributions. 
  • Identify areas for improvement and suggest and implement changes to optimize system performance and efficiency. 
  • Understand out-of-band management concepts using iLO and iDRAC technologies to manage and troubleshoot servers remotely, even when the operating system is down. 
  • Provide end-user support as needed, ensuring timely resolution of issues and excellent customer service. 
  • Maintain, patch, upgrade, and replace servers as needed. 
  • Continuously monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems. 
  • Perform regular system audits and generate reports on system health and performance. 
  • Implement and manage security measures to protect data, software, and hardware. 
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability. 
  • Perform regular backups and test recovery processes. 
  • Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes. 
  • Work closely with other IT team members to coordinate projects and resolve issues. 
  • Support and manage Microsoft 365 and Intune environments for end-user needs. 

Requirements

Requirements: 

  • Ability to work independently and proactively identify and resolve issues. 
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DHCP, VLANs, and routing. 
  • Proficient in managing and supporting Linux-based operating systems (Debian, Fedora, Arch, etc.). 
  • Experience with ESXi, ProxMox, and KVM virtualization technologies. 
  • Provide networking support, including DHCP, VLANs, and routing. 
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Podman. 
  • Knowledge of SAN technologies (NetApp/EMC). 
  • Maintain enterprise-grade storage devices including NetApp and EMC SANs. 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Intune for end-user support. 
  • Must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux+, RHCE, etc.). 
  • Prior experience in a similar role.
