Determined to end Veteran suicide, K9s For Warriors is the leading nonprofit organization providing Service Dogs to military Veterans nationwide suffering from PTSD, traumatic brain injury, and/or military sexual trauma — at no financial cost to the Veteran. Founded in 2011 as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, K9s For Warriors is committed to saving lives at both ends of the leash by primarily rescuing dogs and pairing them with Veterans in need. In order to continue the great work we’re doing, we’re looking to add a Systems Administrator to our amazing team!


Role and Responsibilities

Under the general direction and supervision of the Data Manager, the Systems Administrator will build and manage detail-oriented and proactive solutions to own and optimize K9s For Warrior’s Salesforce platform. In this role, the Systems Administrator will collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure Salesforce supports business goals, scales with growth, and delivers great internal and external user experiences. The System Administrator will be the go-to expert for system configuration, data integrity, user enablement, and continuous improvement.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary administrator for Salesforce and related tools
  • Abides by K9s’ data policies, business processes, and continuous improvement mindset
  • Manage users, roles, profiles, permission sets, and security settings
  • Configure and maintain workflows, flows, validation rules, and automation
  • Customize objects, fields, page layouts, record types, and reports
  • Monitor data quality and perform regular data maintenance and cleanup
  • Build and maintain dashboards and reports to support business insights
  • Support system integrations and coordinate with vendors or developers as needed
  • Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into scalable solutions
  • Provide user training, documentation, and day-to-day Salesforce support
  • Stay current on Salesforce releases and recommend improvements

Other Duties

  • Perform other projects as assigned by the Data Manager and/or the Chief Operating & Information Officer

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering Salesforce
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security, and automation tools
  • Experience with Flow (required), Workflow Rules, and basic declarative customization
  • Ability to analyze business processes and propose effective Salesforce solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Salesforce Administrator Certification (ADM 201) or equivalent experience

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Nonprofit Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, or Experience Cloud
  • Familiarity with integrations (APIs, third-party tools, ETL platforms)
  • Experience supporting a growing or multi-team Salesforce org
  • Additional Salesforce certifications (Advanced Admin, Platform App Build)
