Systems Analyst to support our client in Portland, OR
Location: Portland, OR
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Pay arte $50 to 55/hr
Responsibilities/Job Duties/Job Description/Qualifications:
Role Overview: The Systems Analyst will primarily work with the BMC Discovery tool and support monitoring tools within the organization. They will be responsible for expanding the use of BMC Discovery across the organization, particularly in application modeling and utilizing new functionalities like Blueprint to ensure accurate application relationship information is captured in the CMDB.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work independently and problem-solve, especially within the BMC Discovery tool.
- Support the organization's monitoring tools, including SolarWinds and a small footprint of CA Broadcom monitoring for the CIP environment at the company.
- Engage in application tool support, including updates, upgrades, and basic care and feeding of the systems.
- Handle on-call responsibilities, including ticket assignment and incident response.
- Create models, add and remove devices from monitoring, update alerts, and pull data from Discovery and other supported tools Skills and Experience:
- Experience with BMC Discovery tool is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools, with SolarWinds experience being an advantage.
- Ability to support Linux-based applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn
