Description You will be the Systems and Software Quality Engineer for the Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing and maintaining Systems and Software Quality Engineering processes aligned with AS9100, program, and customer requirements. What You Will Be Doing As the Systems and Software Quality Engineer you will be responsible for shaping and executing quality practices that ensure our software products meet the highest standards of reliability and compliance. Develop, modify, and apply quality principles to software and software‑based systems. Design and implement software development and maintenance processes. Define audit strategies to ensure compliance with systems/software processes. Design, specify, and conduct test methods for inspection, verification, and validation. Evaluate and analyze software quality systems to identify and correct deficiencies. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combined experience/education. Experience in system/software dependencies, process flow and development methodologies. Experience supporting System & Software Engineering requirements, design, integration and test activities in an Agile Development Framework (in particular DevSecOps) as an active team member/participant. Experience in Root Cause Analysis methodologies and development of Corrective Action Plans and facilitating RCCA events. Ability to conduct and document process audits and evaluations. Desired Skills Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma (LSS) principles. Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems and Standards. Experience and/or prior background with logistics information systems programs or large‑scale transactional software systems. Effective communication skills, written & verbal. Ability to obtain a secret clearance, after hire. Other Information This position is located in Orlando, FL. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Clearance Level: Secret. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Work Schedule Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five‑day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
