- Job Title: Systems Developer (Contractor)
- Location: Sunnyvale office, Bay Area
- Role: High-Performance Computing (HPC) systems developer
- Responsibilities:
- Design and implement the architecture for the next generation of Client services
- Invent new techniques and solve complex scaling challenges
- Provide system support for the manageability, operability and performance of software platforms
- Adapt and improve operations management systems and processes for rapid growth
- Optimize system performance through analysis and deployment of new hardware configurations
- Develop custom components to enhance current systems or build new applications
- Maintain HPC environments on AWS and Linux\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/Windows Remote desktop sessions
- Manage user onboarding, file permissions, and user groups
- Maintain HPC job scheduler (PBS)
- Manage multiple software tools (installation, configuration, updating, patching, and fixing security vulnerabilities)
- Manage software licensing service and customer\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/vendor communication for licensing needs
- Triage and resolve issues including user requests and security and compliance issues
- Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of programming experience with Python, PowerShell, C++, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in automation and tool building
- 5+ years of Linux administration experience and systems engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience with AWS cloud services
- 1+ years of experience with HPC systems and job schedulers
- 1+ years experience managing Network License Servers
- 2+ years of experience managing back-end databases on AWS
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of distributed CAE and FEA simulation tools
- Understanding of HPC job schedulers such as PBS, Slurm, LSF
- Experience with Java\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/Python\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/C\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/C++ based system\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\/application deployment, maintenance and management
