The Systems Engineer plays a key role in advancing the firm’s technology infrastructure through well-planned and executed projects.  They ensure our systems remain secure, scalable, and aligned with business needs by leading the design, implementation, and optimization of core IT solutions.

This role is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of IT projects—from planning and coordination to delivery and documentation.  Core duties include collaborating with IT leadership and stakeholders to define project goals, overseeing vendors and cross-functional teams, and ensuring systems perform reliably and efficiently.  The position also supports continuous improvement by maintaining technical standards, mentoring team members, and proactively addressing performance or security issues.

Essential Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with IT Leadership and stakeholders to define project scope, timeline, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive documentation of systems, processes and configurations.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable systems.
  • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
  • Contribute in strategy discussions, ensuring infrastructure investments align with business goals. 
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
  • Collaborate with departments to assess IT needs and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on project status, risks, and outcomes.

 

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience preferred.

·         3-5 years of experience in IT support preferred.

·         Strong networking skills; experience with SonicWall, and Aruba preferred.

·         Familiarity with SQL Server, virtualization platforms, and backup solutions.

·         Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.

·         Strong problem-solving skills.

·         Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.

·         Ability to think innovatively.

·         Ability to be self-accountable.

·         Ability to work both independently and in a team.
