Systems Engineer (Heads up Technologies) Heads Up Technologies is seeking a skilled and customer focused Systems Engineer to support Innovative Advantage’s world class audio and video hardware and software for the business jet industry. In this role, you will combine system design, customer engagement, integration and testing, and frontline technical support to help customers deploy and optimize reliable cabin solutions. You will work closely with product development, sales, and support teams, represent the company at customer sites and industry events, and help improve the end user experience. Work Schedule: Full time, including participation in a support on call rotation for nights and weekends. Location: Preferred onsite in Addison, Texas. Work Eligibility: U.S. Citizenship is required for this position. Travel Requirement: Up to 25% travel to customer sites and industry events, including travel within and outside the United States. What you'll do Develop technical documentation supporting product development and new designs, including system level specifications, system architecture block diagrams, system solution proposals, and implementation plans. Collaborate with internal teams and provide technical guidance based on customer requirements for new and updated products. Set up and test proof of concept ideas for new products and system applications. Create system configuration files using customer wiring diagrams and block diagrams. Create and maintain trade show and customer demonstration setups. Communicate with customers to understand technical requirements and business challenges, then recommend customized solutions. Share customer insights with internal teams to improve product design and the end user experience. Build relationships with target customers and industry professionals, while staying current on industry trends, partners, and competitors. Develop system level test cases and procedures that provide coverage for product development specifications. Improve, expand, and streamline system testing methods for products and applications. Set up bench or software in the loop systems to recreate customer issues using specific configurations. Create and revise systems and qualification documentation for products. Develop Python testing scripts to improve test coverage and enable automated testing capabilities. Provide timely technical support and troubleshooting through email, phone, and remote access tools such as TeamViewer. Perform software updates and diagnostic analysis on fielded systems. Resolve customer issues efficiently and escalate complex technical problems to senior engineers or developers when needed. Participate in the support on call rotation for nights and weekends. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering discipline. Five or more years of systems engineering experience in an aerospace related field. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to technical and non technical stakeholders. Experience with audio and video distribution technologies, cabin management systems, networking systems, and aircraft wiring diagrams. Familiarity with Python, XML, databases, networking, and error log analysis. Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to customer sites and industry events, including domestic and international travel. U.S. Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting business jet cabin systems, in flight entertainment, audio and video distribution, or related avionics technologies. Experience in a customer facing technical support or systems integration role within aerospace or a similarly regulated technical environment. Experience supporting technical demonstrations, trade shows, customer installations, or fielded system troubleshooting.
