We are a national aerospace and defense staffing agency seeking highly qualified candidates for a position with a top-tier client.

Job Details:

Qualifying Questions:

Summary:

  • Analyze customer-provided requirements and develop a reliability engineering program to achieve reliability objectives.

  • Allocate top-level reliability quantitative requirements to design teams and perform reliability predictions to track performance.

  • Analyze projected product utilization and calculate cumulative effects on system reliability of individual part reliabilities.

  • Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and develop mathematical models to identify items posing excessive failure and safety risks, supporting proposed design changes.

  • Develop computer models to analyze, predict, and adjust designs to maintain or improve system reliability.

  • Develop, administer, and maintain a Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) database.

  • Participate in recurring Failure Review Board (FRB) meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including government customers.

  • Actively participate on design teams, providing guidance and recommendations to designers and management to ensure reliability objectives are met.

  • Interface with customers and management at major design review meetings to provide reliability findings and recommendations.

  • Determine test profiles for units requiring environmental testing, specify objectives, and define success criteria.

  • Provide inputs to proposals for submittals to customers and review subcontractor proposals for reliability programs.

  • Review engineering specifications and drawings, proposing design modifications to improve reliability within cost and performance requirements.

  • Support proposal activities impacting Reliability and Maintainability scope of work.

Requirements:

  • SECRET CLEARANCE (NOT REQUIRED TO START)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • Level 4: typically, 9+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience; ABET accreditation preferred but not required.

  • Experience with RM&SH engineering principles (RM&SH requirements, predictions, and performance).

  • Experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).

  • Experience performing failure analysis.

  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams at multiple organizational levels in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Systems Engineering V-model and implementing systems onto a product.

  • Systems Engineering requirements and verification experience.

  • Ability to lead by influence outside formal reporting relationships.

  • 2+ years of Reliability, Maintainability, and System Health experience.

  • 2+ years of experience with FMEA, Reliability & Maintainability predictions, or Reliability testing activities.

  • Master s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, or related disciplines.
