Job Description:
- Client is currently seeking a talented Oracle Database Administrator and Operating Systems Administrator
- The ideal candidate will have experience with large-scale, massively concurrent, highly available distributed Oracle systems.
- You should have a proven ability to rapidly master complex new skills and concepts, as well as the ability to work independently and self-motivate.
- Successful candidates will have the ability to rapidly troubleshoot complex technical problems under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills are required.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Ownership of upkeep and operational stability of Oracle instances Work on a variety of development and maintenance projects in coordination with global teams Research and development on new technologies and approaches
Qualifications:
- Innovative and unconventional approaches to systems architecture, performance tuning, backup and recovery, high availability and scalability
- Knowledge of all supporting infrastructure components, including operating systems, hardware/storage configurations and networks
- Excellent UNIX skills and a grasp of fundamental computing concepts such as system calls, memory management and program debugging.
- Knowledge of MySQL and MS SQL and previous experience in DB migrations.
Story Behind the Need Business Group & Key Projects:
Business Group:
- HM manages the ERP applications within the Client Robotics
- ERP applications Consists of finance business users, manufacturing business users, and supply chain management business users.
- This contractor will be working with internal IT teams, working on ERP applications extracting data and giving to Data Lake team to develop the dashboard team for manufacturing, finance, and supply chain.
- Very open and inviting team.
Reason for this request:
- Team does not have someone who can focus on extracting the data from ERP and details to the Data Lake team.
- Mainly looking for a technical person to join their team and work with them on their focus request and create a pipeline between ERP and data lake.
Typical Day in the Role:
Internal task (Day to Day):
- Join stand up in the morning and talk about tasks for the day. (Timelines, tasks)
- Go back and work on that and work with others in the team
- Very planned day
Interaction level with the team:
- Sync up meetings with ERP/Data warehouse team.
- To ensure contractor knows source and target systems for the day/week.
Candidate Requirements:
Leadership principle:
- Deliver results, ownership, insist on higher standards.
Years of experience:
- 10+ years in Oracle ERP technical consulting experience
- EBS R12.2 Administration
- Database 19c Administration
- EBS Maintenance activities (Cloning, Patching, Upgrades, etc.)
- AWS System Administration
- Middleware Administration
- ETL Process
- 3rd Party Products (Inspyrus, Demantra, VLTrader, etc.)
- Vulnerability Acknowledgement
Degree's/Cert's:
- BA in engineering or computer science
Top 3 must-have hard skills
- SQL / PL SQL
- STRONG understanding of Oracle ERP
- Oracle Database Administrator
